Polish Voice in the European Association of Geochemistry Council

Prof. Monika A. Kusiak from the Department of Polar and Marine Research has been elected Secretary of the European Association of Geochemistry (EAG) Council for the term 2025-2027.

The EAG was established in 1985 with the aim of promoting internationally geochemistry and providing a forum for presentation of geochemistry, idea exchange publications and recognition of scientific excellence. This is non-profit organization registered in France. Monika is the only Polish representative in the EAG Council.

The Association publishes three journals: Geochemical Perspectives Letters, Geochemical Perspectives and Elements.

The Association also co-organizes the largest geochemical conference Goldschmidt. This year the Goldschmidt Conference will be held July 6-11 in Prague https://conf.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2025/meetingapp.cgi

Conference abstracts will be accepted until February 26, 2025. There will be 14 thematic sessions ranging from the early Earth processes, through analytical methods to climate change studies of the past, present and climate prediction.
