Geo-INQUIRE Corinth Summer School 2024
From 21–25 of October, a summer school was organized in Corinth, Greece within the Geo-INQUIRE project. The meeting was attended by employees and doctoral students of IG PAS, which is one of the project partners.
The main theme of the school was: „Strain mapping for the characterization and prevention of geohazard events” and it was attended by more than 30 doctoral students from different countries. Our Institute was represented by: Helena Ciechowska, Anna Tymińska and Izabela Nowaczyńska – PhD students from Depertment of Seismology IG PAS. Co-organizers were: Prof. Mariusz Majdański, Geo-INQUIRE leader, and Dagmara Bożek from the Department of Science Communication and Promotion IG PAS.
The school included a series of lectures along with practical exercises and a poster session. On the last day, a field trip was organized for the participants in the area of the Easter Gulf of Corinth.
