The IUGG 2023 conference is a unique opportunity for participants from around the world to meet and discuss topics related to geodesy and geophysics and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration for a better understanding of Earth sciences.

The slogan promoting the 28th edition of the IUGG 2023 conference was "Together again for Geosciences," with which the organizers wished to emphasize the reunion of scientists from all over the world after the long break caused by the pandemic. The conference was attended by more than 4,600 participants, who were present not only during the numerous scientific and poster sessions, but also visited the exhibition area, which housed the booths of various exhibitors from the science and technology sector.

In addition to the numerous and active participation of scientists from IG PAS in the following days of the IUGG 2023 conference, our Institute was also respresented at the booth of Geo.8 – European Alliance for Earth Sciences as part of IG PAS's membership in GeoPlanet consortium.
